Single-circuit hydraulic system
A single-circuit hydraulic system is a type of hydraulic system that uses a single circuit of hydraulic oil to supply the tipping cylinder. Oil is drawn from the reservoir by a hydraulic pump, pumped via a high-pressure hose to the control valve, and then the oil from the valve is also fed via a high-pressure hydraulic hose to the actuator. After the work is done, the hydraulic oil returns via the same route to the valve and from there to the tank.
Selection of components
When selecting the components in such a system, it is worth paying attention to several issues. Let's start with the pumps. We recommend gear pumps, as they are an economically superior solution for tipping systems. They are cheaper than piston pumps and do not require oil filtration. The correct pump capacity should be selected, which affects the kipping time. The operating pressure of the pump should not be lower than the operating pressure of the actuator to take advantage of the maximum capacity of the actuator. When selecting a pump, it is worth looking at the connection ports for ease of installation and the direction of rotation - left, right, or bi-rotational, which eliminates the need for mechanical adjustment to the rotation of the PTO. It is also worth bearing in mind that if you want to expand your tipping kit to include applications for other applications, such as movable floor or hydraulic motor drive, it should be noted that a gear pump is not designed for operation over 15 minutes - continuous operation. Running for more than ten minutes causes the oil to heat up, and a gear pump does not have the same efficiency as a piston pump, so it may not be up to the task in terms of maintaining pressure, and such operation may shorten its service life.
